AR600 Plates Test for Level III+ Armor

When it comes to ballistic armor, level III+ is the highest-rated protection available. This type of armor requires a specific set of tests and standards to be certified as level III+. Here’s how you can test your ar600 plates for level III+ armor.

Test 1: Ballistic Resistance Test

The first step in testing your AR600 plates is to ensure they meet the requirements for level III+ armor. To do this, you need to conduct a ballistic resistance test. This test involves shooting an armor-piercing bullet at the plates from various angles and distances. The bullet must not penetrate the plates to pass this test.

Test 2: Backface Deformation Test

The second step in testing your AR600 plates is the backface deformation test. This test measures how much energy is absorbed by the body when hit with a projectile. A professional tester will use a special tool to measure how much energy is absorbed by the plate and compare that number against a standard set by the NIJ (National Institute of Justice). If it falls within the range set by NIJ, then it passes this test.

Test 3: Fragmentation Resistance Test

The third and final test for level III+ armor is fragmentation resistance testing. This test involves shooting at a plate with an incendiary or fragmentation round from various angles and distances. Again, no penetration should occur if these plates meet the requirements for level III+. Additionally, any fragments created from impact must fall within a certain distance away from the plate to pass this test.

Testing AR600 plates for Level III+ armor takes time and expertise but provides peace of mind when facing potential threats on duty or out on patrol. As long as you follow these three tests – ballistic resistance, backface deformation, and fragmentation resistance – then your AR600 plates should successfully meet all applicable standards for Level III+ armor protection. With proper care and maintenance, they will provide reliable service throughout their lifetime so you can rest easy knowing that you are properly protected against whatever threat may come your way.
